50 Years of Excellence in Photography Well, maybe 45 years of excellence and 5 years learning what to do.
Actually,
you never stop learning in the photography business as it's constantly
changing. I started out as a junior tea maker in one of Portsmouth's
premier studios of the time, attending day release and evening classes
at Portsmouth College of Art and Design to gain my City and Guilds in Photography.
I
have been so lucky. I have travelled the world, photographed some
amazing people and events and done things I would never have done in
another profession. I have flown planes, driven
powerboats, driven rally cars, hung out the side of helicopters and been thrown around in
the back of an armoured personnell carrier on Salisbury Plain.
I have been behind the scenes at palaces and rock concerts, football stadiums and West End theatres.
I
have met people as diverse as Princess Diana and Frankie Valli, not to
mention prime ministers and countless other politicians, actors, rock
musicians, classical musicians. comedians and TV stars.
I
can't wait to see what the next advances in photography will be, but
I'm sure I will be there trying them out and enjoying every minute of
it.
I
still love wedding photography because I feel priveleged to be able to
record pivotal moments in the lives of some lovely people.

is no such thing as
"just another wedding"
to me because I know that this is one of the most important
days of your life.
